Did you know...

Peltre or Enamel dates back to the 1760s, in Germany. A material was sought to cover kitchen utensils, because being made of copper or tin, it impregnated food with a metallic flavor.

After several attempts, the Germans found a varnish, or porcelain enamel, that was easy to apply and easy to clean.

By the end of the 1800s, this material was found massively in the kitchen of all families.
